My mamacita :)

Well, I know I have mentioned this before, but it is so amazing to me the things that kids absorb just from everyday life. Addison is a little mama, her maternal instinct is all there. I dont know if its from watching me at work with the babies, or if it really is just nature, but she is so sweet and loving to little babies, and even her friends. She really tries to help and take care of them. She helps clean up, gives them hugs when they are sad, and likes to put her babies to bed. It really truly amazes me how a couple months ago, Addison was barely mobile and had limited communication, and now, she is a little person. She says "uh-oh" when I brake too hard in the car (a literal backseat driver!), she points to things as we drive and says "truck" and "whats that?". She can tell me what she wants for the most part, and gets SO excited when I understand her. We are working on her recognizing when she needs a new diaper. The other day, there was a TV show on, and the phone was ringing and ringing and no one was answering it, and she went over to the coffee table, and picked up our phone, and said "hedo?" It was so funny. Today she did the sign for "eat" for the first time, which I had given up on her learning! She is super polite and signs "please" and "thank you" regularly now. I told her to say hi to a little boy at work today, and I said "Say, "hi, chase"", and she did, and then remembered that his name was Chase when she was playing! I couldnt believe it! She is going to be 15 months this week...where has the time gone?
When I started this blog, I started it because I was having a hard time dealing with my depression, and all of the post partum things that come with it. But since then, I found my mommies group, and got a job, and I feel like I am in a completely different life. Having Addison has been the most amazing experience I have ever had, and everyday I am so grateful and feel so blessed that I have such a smart, caring, healthy little girl, and such a wonderful husband. This week is going to be super tough for me, I am not sure who all reads the blog, but I will leave it at that ;)
I will definitely be visiting the blog for a daily dose of my favorite girl a lot at the end of the week!
I have been really frustrated with my job recently, and have been fighting allergies and such, so its been a tough month or so. I am so thankful to have Josh and Addison to take care of me and remind me of what is important. After work, when I put her in her crib for her nap, I take her shoes off, and she giggles in her sleep. Today when she signed eat, I was so proud of her. Its the little moments like that that make me remember why I have the job I have, and remind me why I need to hang in there.
I am posting this picture, because when I first looked at it, the first thing I thought was that she actually looked like my mom in this picture(that doesnt happen often!)- minus the blueberry pancakes on her face! My mom has this same "look" :)
I painted her toenails for the first time this week- she was so excited about them!
She got a new chair at Ikea this weekend, she loves to lounge in it!

I know I have been video happy recently, but like I was explaining to my mom, now that she is so verbal and on the go, its hard to capture the true essence of Addison in a photo. I like to give those of you who dont get to see her often a glimpse of her personality, too, because as far as I am concerned, she is a funny baby. :)And plus, I use the blog like a journal, so I like to go back and see how much she has grown :)
Here is the little mama and her baby. :) As always, please excuse Oprah :)
