We survived Nor'easter 2008!

And yes, there was actually a store in the obx selling these shirts.
Where do I begin? Its was a dark, dreary day as we headed off to Liz and Dans wedding in NC. The wind was a howling and the rain was a pouring, but we made it down there in one piece (One very wet piece, but still, one piece) and got settled in. The rest of the weekend was cake! The storm really beat down the shore line. The ocean was the angriest I have ever seen in person (cause I dont think you can beat the deadliest catch!), and it rocked the pier house where the wedding was held (literally! there was wine sloshing in glasses!) but it turned out to be a beautiful event. Congrats, Liz and Dan!!
We had a blast. We shopped, we swam in the hotel pool, we played in the game room (where I might add that Addison beat Josh in a racing game...seriously), we climbed the lighthouse in Corolla, we went to the aquarium, we partied late with the big kids, and we relaxed. It was a great time.
Addison was a trooper, staying up late two nights in a row, really without too much drama. We bought her a fisher price take along dollhouse, and thanks to that a few good friends (Thank you thank you thank you Court, Eric, MelRose and Darragh), we made it through!! Darragh even taught Addison a new trick! ;)

Whoever said that Addison was never going to shut up once she started really talking was right on the money. It has been nonstop Addie chatter for about a week now. She is excited about everything and wants to talk about everything she sees. It is wonderful, exciting, so cute, but terribly exhausting, especially since you have to acknowledge everything she says before she stops! Today, when I got her up from her nap, she was whining, and I said "Wheres paci?" and she said "In my pocket!". Paci was not in her pocket, silly girl, but she knows thats where I keep it, so logically, thats where it should be! Its always stunning when this stuff comes out of her mouth!
She drew a picture tonight at work, pointed to it and said "daddy!" and sure enough it was the first time it actually looked kinda like a person! I asked her where his smile was, and she drew a line, and it actually looked like a smile! We're framing this one! :)
Here are a gazillion pictures for your viewing pleasure! :)
