Happy Birthday, Grandpa Steve!

Today is Grandpa Steve's 86th birthday! Although I know he doesnt get to see the blog, we are thinking about him and hoping that he had a fabulous day!

In other news, Addie had her last day of swim lessons today. She received a little certificate. She absolutely loves the water now, and we plan on signing her up again when the weather gets a little bit warmer. We also went to Newport News, where we took Addie into Petco to look at the animals (she LOVED it) and went to Jumping Joeys with Daddy. Daddy had never been to JJ before, so it was fun for him to see her playing. :) She even went down the big girl slides! We ran into my Doctor (Dr. Keller) while we were out and about today. She is the one who delivered Addison. She couldnt believe it had been 13 months already, and how big she was. I told Addie that Dr. Keller was the first one to touch her (and I didnt remind Dr. Keller that Addie pooped all over her upon arrival, haha). But seeing her brought back a flood of emotions about how lucky I am, and how blessed I am to have a happy healthy girl, and such a wonderful support system. Dr. Keller helped me through those early days of post partum depression, called me after hours to check on me, and even still today asked me how I was doing. :) As I saw her with her own kids, it just reminded me that she sacrifices so much to be a doctor, and I am lucky to have a doctor with the heart and spirit that she has.

Every day brings something new in our house, as Addie continues to grow and learn with every second. She now throws her hands up in the air when you say "Tada!" (she learned this from the TV) and she says "Go-go" and "ba" (bath). She is really into waving right now, and she is also learning some new signs. We cant figure out whether she is blowing kisses or saying thank you, or blowing kisses to say thank you...this is the sign for "thank you",
but in Addie language, her hand comes off the side of her head as if she is tapping her head and saying "duh". Its funny. And this morning, I am pretty sure that she was signing "eat" after swim lessons. :)
She loves to bring her toys to me, and she has become quite the little helper. She helps us with the laundry, and the other day, she pulled out the lint trap and handed it to me. I am not sure I am ready for that yet, but she is definitely "curious" (to put it nicely) and absorbing the world around her. Watch what you do, she is watching you! :)

I received a back massager from my "secret sister" (something the mommies group does) and Josh used it on Addies back. She has started carrying it over to us because she wanted her back rubbed! Its hilarious!
She is full of herself, and full of love and life, she is such a blessing.
