We were so excited about the weather getting warmer! Addie pulled out some shorts (okay, maybe mommy did) and we were all set to bring on the outside time! But on Monday morning, Addie didnt seem to feel too well, and by Monday night, she couldnt sleep she was coughing so badly...so...off to the doctor we went yesterday. They diagnosed her with Croup, and ran some tests (flu was negative, thank goodness) and sent us home with a steroid and a nebulizer. They are considering the thought that she may have asthma. Which, in all honesty, would make a lot of sense. It seems that everytime the weather gets warm and flowers start blooming, my little pumpkin gets sick. :( The nebulizer seems to really help, and although she hates it most of the time, I think she knows that it helps her breathe better. She has a little fish mask (sorry aunt tara, the nurse told me it was a duck!) and she looks so pitiful sitting there for the 15 minutes it takes to get through the medicine. Although I dont want her to have asthma, it is nice to know that I am not crazy, and that there seems to be a link back to the weather and allergies like I have always suspected. I guess we will have to wait and see.
On a brighter note, since the neb really helped and the steroid helped her sleep, we decided to pack up and go forth with our trip to the childrens museum today. I am so glad we did- we both needed to get out and she had a blast! She got to play with a water table, play in the sand, dig for dinosaur bones, drive cars, go through tunnels in the "jungle", ride on scooters, and run around and be happy. It was so much fun, I wish it were closer, because she really enjoyed herself. We packed a lunch, and she threw a tantrum when we had to leave the water table to go eat!
Here are some pictures of the shorty in shorts, the sicky girl getting her meds( and not cooperating...), and the museum!

how did you upload so many pics at once??? looks like fun, where was the museum?
Same question. Where was the museum? Sorry to see she is sick. I too hope she doesn't have asthma, but you're right, at least then you would know what it was. We joined Fredericksburg mommies and missed the children's museum in richmond this week b/c of a preschool art class we are taking.
