So...this past week in a nutshell. We went to Busch Gardens with Grammy and Grandpa last Sunday. It was a lot of fun. Josh and I got to ride the Griffon twice while Grammy and Grandpa took Addie on the choo choo :)
I went out to dinner with my friend Tricia on Thursday night, and I was gone for no longer than 20 mins when Josh called me. I was kinda surprised, because he never calls me when I am out, so imagine my shock when he said "How do you get poop out of the bathtub?!" HAHAHA. Apparently our little princess decided to use the bathtub as a toilet and Daddy was left home alone to try to collect the mess. Sorry. I find this super humorous, probably because I wasnt there, and because I can just imagine the look on Josh's face as he was trying to scoop the poop!! LOL.
On Friday we went to the outlets, and on Saturday we braved the 100 degree weather and headed to WC. Addison proved to like the water better this time, and even went off adventuring around UFOh2o on her own! We ran into an old student of mine from Goddard in Richmond, who happened to be the same student who gave Addie the lifejacket she was wearing, and we spent the morning hanging out with her and her mom. She is in Kindergarten this past year, and I cant believe how far she has come! I had her when she was 2.5-3.5, and she had some delays, but she has blossomed into a talkative, sweet, funny little girl and I am so proud of her for overcoming all of the obstacles that she has!
Anyway, we had fun at Water Country, and came home for a nice, peaceful afternoon.
Yesterday we just did the usual stuff, as were preparing for our trip north to visit Elmo and friends at Sesame Place. On the way home, were stopping to visit Grandpa Steve, and I am sure that he will be amazed at the difference in Addie in the past few months!
What an imagination this little one is getting. I love it. Today she was in the car, and I was driving, and I kept hearing her say "cheese!". I looked back and she was holding her croc up to her eye, and peering through the hole and saying cheese, pretending she was taking pictures! I cant imagine where she gets that from! She is always sharing her food with her rocking horse, who is ranking right up there with giraffe these days as far as friendship. Now if she has paci and not giraffe, or vice versa, she makes her "I dont know?" hands until she finds whats shes looking for
She thinks that making a cheesy face when mommy is taking pictures is funny, so thats what the goofy face is. Please excuse the boogers, we have been fighting a cold this week, and we have had to break out the nebulizer again :(!
We cut two more molars this week, so the score is now 4 baby teeth, four molars. Sigh. Still waiting for those stubborn I teeth to come in!
This afternoon, she was getting ready to sit on the potty, and I was taking her diaper off when she fell over and hit her head on the toilet. She has the makings of a black eye. I was scared it would discourage her, but she peed in the potty, tears and all. What a brave girl! It was the first time she had peed in the potty all week. We havent been pushing it, obviously, since she is only 16 months, but its always nice when she does it! :)
Well, I will try to post tomorrow to wish Uncle "Coco" (as Addie calls him) a happy birthday, but if I dont get a chance, we hope you have a wonderful day, Cole!! :)
